Harley's is a family owned business. A business that started in the family kitchen with a large mixing bowl and a bunch of different spices. The special blend was tried out at a few BBQ Cook offs in 1983 and won a few awards. It went on to win awards in the thirty plus following years. The seasoning business has grown, we now have a busy warehouse with a store room that is open several days a week and Harley's comes in 4 flavors.
Harley's Seasoning is not just for BBQ! People everywhere are using it on almost anything now. It is great on scrambled eggs for breakfast, on popcorn for snacks, as well as fruits and veggies. It will always be a favorite for chicken, pork and beef, but has won awards for deer, mutton and even buffalo. (All of which Harley and Shirley have won awards for cooking)
Harley is well known all over the country for his cut off blue jean shorts, cowboy hat and apron, and for kicking his heals up high as he wins at a county fair. Harley's Team has cooked many cook off's in Texas, Colorado, Iowa, Illinois, New Mexico, North Dakota, Utah and the Big Show in Kansas City. Most recent out of state cook off was the API Cook Off in Louisiana, where Harley and Shirley took first place with their Brisket. He has taken Grand Champion overall at many cook off's some local - like Elgin a few years back but most memorable was The Kansas City Royal.
